The Nahata'Dziil Health Clinic Eye Care Department is committed to providing the highest quality vision care to the Sanders, Arizona area and surrounding communities. Our goal is to give patients quality eye care. We feel that establishing a professional relationship with each of our patients is most important.
Upon patient arrival Universal Screening will be completed by NDHC nursing staff at the front entrance. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Only one patient visitor/escort will be allowed to accompany the patient if they are a minor or are their primary caregiver. Visitors and patient escorts will be required to wear a mask at all times.

Medical Support Assistant (MSA) is located in the front office and gladly help with your appointment scheduling, take phone calls and messages, and assist the clinical staff.
Technicians will interview patients and document ocular and medical histories, perform a variety of routine tests that provide diagnostic information, administer topical medication as required by the optometrist and assist the optometrist with patient education pertaining to the treatment prescribed.
Optometrist specializes in function and disorders of the eye, detection of eye disease, and treatment; management of eye disease. An optometrist conducts eye examinations, prescribes prescription eyeglasses, and diagnoses and treats eye diseases and disorders.
Ophthalmologist treats eye diseases, prescribes medications, and performs eye surgeries to improve vision and eye health, or prevents the worsening of eye and vision-related conditions. (Note: You will be referred to Tséhootsooí Eye Clinic for this service.)
Optician specializes in filling lens prescriptions, assisting patients with lens and frame selection and fitting. (Note: You will be referred to Tséhootsooí Eye Clinic for this service.)
Ophthalmic Patient Coordinator facilitates the efficient and timely entry of the patient referrals to ophthalmology specialists, coordinates Diabetic and surgical care among other patients eye health-related duties. (Note: You will be referred to Tséhootsooí Eye Clinic for this service.)

Appointments
Appointments for routine eye examinations may be made on an ongoing basis each day as schedule permits. Diabetic eye health assessment appointments are available Monday - Friday on a walk-in basis as well as routinely scheduled.

Appointments may be made in person or by telephone. When making appointment, in order to serve you best, you must have your hospital chart number and/or date of birth.
